How Our Funds Support the School

Play and Learning

We are delighted to have provided the funds for some fantastic resources for the school over the years. In 2019-2020, we funded new supplies for gardening club and forest school – and this year, we’ve got a beautiful new outdoor theatre! Last year, we funded an outdoor learning area and new playground markings.

In previous years we have funded a full refurbishment of the Foundation Stage grassed area, including a play-friendly artificial grass surface, climbing and slide equipment, and a log cabin, which provides all sorts of opportunities for imaginative play, as well as an outdoor learning venue.

Every year, each Year 2 child receives a dictionary as part of their leaving ceremony – something they can use and treasure to help with their learning for years to come.

Trips and experiences

School trips to exciting places, and visitors who bring fun and laughter (and sometimes snakes), are the moments that children remember for life. We are very proud to make significant contributions towards the cost of every school trip and educational visit, meaning that the cost to parents is much reduced. Every child can take part in an activity whether their parents are able to contribute or not, but the funds we provide ensure that it’s more affordable for the majority to contribute – meaning the school can afford to arrange these enriching and memorable experiences more often.
